The IFSO Scheme independent Review is now available online.
“Every five years, we are required to conduct an independent Review, and we welcome it as an opportunity for continuous improvement of our free and independent complaints service,” says Insurance & Financial Services Ombudsman, Karen Stevens.
The Reviewer, Professor John McMillan AO, brought considerable experience to the role, as the former Australian Commonwealth and New South Wales Ombudsman, independent agency head and administrative lawyer.
“The focus of the Review was to measure the IFSO Scheme’s performance against the industry-based customer dispute resolution Benchmarks, with a specific focus on the Benchmarks of accountability and effectiveness.”
“The results are very positive, and the recommendations Professor McMillan made are sound,” says IFSO Scheme Commission Chair, Sue Suckling.
